CoverMyMeds, an McKesson company, seeks a Senior Manager, Data Governance to lead the implementation and ongoing operation of data governance and enablement capabilities. You will build and manage a team of domain data analysts and data stewards, addressing data quality, lineage, metadata, catalog, and data product control needs.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a developing data governance function, translating strategies, policies, and standards into practical services to help teams

Qualifications

• 9+ years of relative professional experience.
• 1+ years of supervisory/management experience.
• Experience implementing or operating data governance programs in a complex organization.
• Knowledge of data governance principles incl. data quality, metadata management, data lineage, data cataloging, data stewardship.
• Experience partnering with business and technology stakeholders to translate governance into operations.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of domain data analysts and data stewards for data governance and data quality.
• Implement and maintain the data enablement framework with policies and standards.
• Operationalize governance across data quality, metadata, lineage, cataloging, and data product controls.
• Partner with data officers, owners, EA, IT security, legal, compliance, and technology teams to embed governance.
• Align analysts with business domains and serve as a first contact for data issues.
• Identify, assess, prioritize, and remediate data quality issues with owners and tech teams.
• Define and monitor data enablement metrics and KPIs.
• Drive adoption by communicating value of data governance services.
• Promote compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA.
• Coach and support team members with service-oriented leadership.
