Qualifications

• Five or more years of data engineering experience building production-grade data pipelines.
• Advanced hands-on Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and data sharing.
• Experience moving data across hybrid on-premise to cloud environments.
• Experience building semantic layers for downstream AI or NLP capabilities.
• Strong Python and SQL skills in cloud environments, with Azure Functions experience.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines across batch, streaming, and event-driven movement.
• Core developer for the Snowflake data platform, focusing on performance and data modeling.
• Architects and builds transformation pipelines delivering data to Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Maintains semantic layers and metadata models to support Self-Service 2.0 interfaces.
• Establishes reusable templates and CI/CD practices for decentralized teams.
• Provides mentorship to one data engineer and guides analysts in engineering practices.
• Drives adoption of dbt and evaluates AWS/Azure data tools to optimize data flow.
