Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a Sr. Data Engineer for remote work in the United States. You will design and maintain scalable data pipelines across on-prem and cloud sources, focusing on Snowflake, dbt, and semantic layers for AI-friendly data access.

You’ll mentor one data engineer and support cross-functional teams, driving best practices in data modeling, CI/CD, and cloud tool adoption. Fifteen+ years of analytics impact welcomed.

Qualifications

• Five (5)+ years of dedicated data engineering experience, with a proven record of building production-grade data pipelines.
• Advanced hands-on experience with Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and data sharing.
• Experience moving data across hybrid environments (on-prem to cloud) using batch, streaming, and event-driven patterns.
• Experience building/maintaining semantic layers for downstream AI or NLP features.

Responsibilities

• Designs, builds, and maintains scalable data pipelines for batch, real-time streaming, and event-driven data movement.
• Serves as a core developer for the Snowflake data platform and supports performance and data modeling.
• Architects transformation pipelines delivering data to Snowflake and dbt AI features.
• Develops semantic layers and metadata models to support Self-Service 2.0 interfaces.
• Establishes reusable templates and CI/CD practices enabling safe data products.
