Buyers Edge Platform is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to lead our core data platform. You will design schemas, build ETL/ELT pipelines, and shape data models supporting products, analytics, and reporting.

You will collaborate with the Lead Software Engineer on governance, security, and architecture while mentoring junior engineers. This remote role includes strong benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Expert-level proficiency in relational databases and complex stored procedures.
• Experience designing end-to-end data flows including orchestration and recovery patterns.
• Strong data modeling, lineage, and metadata management skills.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, or similar scripting languages.

Responsibilities

• Own the primary relational database platform, including schema design and performance tuning.
• Architect, build, and maintain ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Design data models and schemas for multiple apps and reporting layers.
• Define and enforce data contracts between source systems and downstream consumers.
• Implement data governance, security, and encryption best practices.
