Job summary

Akumin is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to build and scale the company's enterprise data platform to support analytics and AI. You will help design data collection processes, maintain data integrity, and enable business leaders and data scientists to access data quickly for decision-making.

Qualifications

• Experience with large-scale data processing and analytics.
• Ability to design robust ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration.
• Strong knowledge of SQL for complex data extraction and transformation.

Responsibilities

• Develop complex SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, reporting, and transformation.
• Design and implement robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Python and Google tooling.
• Contribute to coding standards and best practices for reusable data services.
• Architect and deploy new data models and data processes in production.
• Build data pipelines that acquire, cleanse, transform, and publish data from diverse sources.
• Assemble large, complex data sets meeting functional and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with data asset managers and architects to ensure data fit-for-use.
