Job summary

Iron Mountain is seeking an experienced Senior Design Manager to join our North America Design team. You will be responsible for end-to-end design execution on major data center developments, customer deployments, phased expansions, or complex operational upgrades.

In this role, you will lead multidisciplinary design delivery across the full project lifecycle, ensuring technical decisions align with safety, customer, commercial, program, resilience, and sustainability goals.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience on complex data center or mission-critical projects.
Deep multidisciplinary knowledge of critical-facility systems and compliance.
Strong leadership to mentor and lead cross-functional teams while balancing cost.

Responsibilities

Own end-to-end design execution: concept through construction, commissioning, and handover.
Direct multidisciplinary teams: coordinate external consultants, equipment manufacturers, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Drive risk & financial assurance: oversee design reporting, risk management, and value engineering; resolve risks.
Partner & mentor: act as principal design partner across divisions and elevate regional practices.
