Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Senior CX Platform Engineer to advance AI-driven agent workflows and platform integration across enterprise systems. You will design, test, and deploy agent-based solutions using Claude Code, GitLab Duo, MCP servers, and modern cloud infrastructure.

You will collaborate with Customer Success and Professional Services teams to turn field learnings into reusable patterns, ensuring secure data handling, robust APIs, and scalable services.

Qualifications

• Experience building and operating production software from ambiguity to production.
• Hands-on use of coding agents for production work.
• Experience with large language models beyond chat, including tool use and workflow design.

Responsibilities

• Use Claude Code, GitLab Duo, and other agents as primary development environment.
• Build and maintain the agent harness with conventions and CI checks.
• Ship agents and multi-step workflows for account research and onboarding.
• Build MCP servers and connectors for enterprise systems with governance.
• Evolve CX Application Platform's gateway and AWS infrastructure.
• Ship production-quality Python and TypeScript with CI/CD, tests, security reviews.
• Prototype with CX teams to enable production of customer apps.
• Contribute upstream to GitLab and mentor others.
