Job summary

Sompo's AgriSompo unit seeks an experienced Crop Insurance Underwriter for the Southeast team. The role analyzes insurance contracts, applications, production and acreage reports, and processes written agreements with a strong focus on accurate data and exceptional customer service.

The position can be fully remote in several states including North Carolina. You will collaborate with agents, meet deadlines set by RMA, assess coverage, verify policy forms, and participate in training to deepen

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in crop insurance preferred.
• Understanding MPCI program and underwriting rules.
• Strong data entry and administrative skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to agents and clients.
• Assess applications, production and acreage reports; apply underwriting rules.
• Request clarification from agents and follow up as needed.
• Meet deadlines established by RMA policies and procedures.
• Enter and verify policy data accurately in PASS system.
• Evaluate existing coverage to determine benefit amounts.
• Maintain professional relationships with agents.
• Attend training to deepen crop insurance knowledge.
