Sompo is seeking an experienced Crop Insurance Underwriter to join our Southeast team. The role supports remote work options across Mississippi, Kentucky, Georgia, Tennessee, or North Carolina, and emphasizes accurate underwriting of MPCI contracts with strong customer service for agents.

Responsibilities include reviewing applications and production data, applying underwriting rules, and maintaining efficient communication with agents while meeting deadlines and ensuring policy accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in crop insurance.
• Ability to learn MPCI rules and FCIC regulations.

Responsibilities

• Review insurance contracts and applications.
• Apply underwriting rules to policies and endorsements.
• Obtain documentation from agents and request clarifications.
• Meet agent deadlines set by RMA policies and procedures.
• Enter policy and production data accurately and maintain records.
