Job summary

SSi People is seeking a Senior Cost Manager/Director for remote leadership of project controls and cost management across complex construction engagements. You will guide outcomes from concept through construction, coordinating with clients and internal teams.

Requirements include a 10+ year track record in cost management and estimating, proficiency with Cost-X/OT, and strong communication and analytical skills to drive value and mitigate risk.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (QS/Architecture/Engineering/CM).
• 10+ years as Estimator/Cost Manager or similar role.
• Pre- and post-contract cost management experience.
• Ability to generate AACE level 1–5 cost evaluations.
• Knowledge of estimating software (Cost-X, OT) and benchmarking tools.
• Excellent communication and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead project controls across large-scale engagements, including schedules, budgets, risks, and reporting.
• Prepare detailed construction cost estimates from concept to construction documents.
• Review bids, reconcile with contractors/subcontractors, and assess change orders.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver status updates, risk mitigation, audits, and value engineering.
