Job summary

Verizon is seeking a Conversational & Agentic AI Architect to design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade conversational AI and multi-agent solutions in a consulting context.

The role requires hands-on architecture, product-minded engineering, and expertise in speech science and GenAI. You will consult with customers to create dynamic, multi-turn experiences while integrating complex back-end systems and ensuring model safety and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Six+ years of relevant experience in AI/ML engineering or architecture.
• Proficiency in Python, JavaScript, Java, and modern frameworks with GenAI and LLMs.
• Cloud experience on GCP, Azure or AWS; familiar with Terraform, Ansible or similar tools.
• Experience with LLM observability, analytics, testing and annotation tools.
• Willingness to travel 25%.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize enterprise-grade conversational AI and multi-agent solutions.
• Lead architecture from traditional flows to Generative AI with multi-agent orchestration.
• Manage intents, prompt engineering, and model tuning for latency-sensitive applications.
• Integrate back-end systems via webhooks and serverless services.
• Measure ROI with automated testing and telemetry.
