Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior AI Architect to define end-to-end Agentic AI architectures that turn LLMs, multi-agent systems, and orchestration layers into secure, scalable enterprise solutions. You will collaborate with client stakeholders, data teams, and cross-functional engineering groups from Cognizant Digital Engineering.

Remote position in the United States with potential in-person interviews as needed.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in AI/ML and GenAI, including LLMs, prompt engineering, fine-tuning, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and multi-agent architectures and agent frameworks.
• Strong programming skills in Python (primary) with hands-on experience across AI libraries.
• Experience architecting on cloud platforms, with Azure preferred (including Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Studio, and Databricks), as well as AWS or GCP.
• Experience with modern data and platform ecosystems (Databricks, Snowflake, Synapse), REST APIs, microservices, and event streaming (Kafka, Event Hub).
• Strong DevOps and MLOps capabilities, including CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, monitoring, logging, and experiment tracking.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end Agentic AI architecture frameworks leveraging LLMs, multi-agent systems, and orchestration layers.
• Design autonomous AI agents capable of planning, reasoning, memory management, and tool usage.
• Establish reference architectures for enterprise-grade AI applications that are cloud-native, scalable, and secure.
• Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems, including data platforms, ERP, CRM, APIs, and event-driven systems.
