Job summary

The University of Kansas seeks a Functional Systems Analyst Senior to support our Financial Management Systems within the CFO. You will oversee Concur Travel and Expense functionality, configuration, and continuous improvement, ensuring optimal performance and user experience across campuses.

The role requires strong system operations knowledge, business process understanding, and collaboration with IT and end users.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with major coursework in business, management, computer science, information systems and three years relevant work experience.
• Three (3) years' experience in accounting/auditing using automated financial systems
• Three (3) years' experience with MS Office software including Outlook, Word and Excel as demonstrated in application materials.
• Three (3) years' experience using analytical, technical, and problem-solving skills, as demonstrated in application materials
• Three (3) years' experience that required attention to detail, as demonstrated in application materials

Responsibilities

• Serve as the subject matter expert for assigned management system modules, specifically Concur, providing specialized knowledge and guidance to stakeholders.
• Analyze business processes to identify management systems applications and requirements, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
• Document and communicate programming and system configuration requirements to technical teams and end users.
• Set up and maintain system configurations and security access profiles, ensuring proper permissions and compliance.
• Coordinate application module updates, upgrades, and migrations with technical resources to support uninterrupted operations.
• Develop test scripts, execute tests of system functionality, identify processing issues, evaluate root causes, and recommend timely solutions.
• Create and modify queries and reports for users, responding to requests for information and supporting data-driven decision making.
