Job summary

Clearway Energy Group is seeking a Senior Commissioning Manager to implement an effective commissioning program for a utility-scale renewable energy project. Remote-based with periodic site visits, the role requires planning, testing oversight, safety leadership, and rigorous report review.

The candidate should have extensive renewable energy commissioning experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and interfaces with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• 5-7 years of related experience.
• Managing or commissioning of large utility scale projects and personnel preferred.
• Knowledge of construction risks and safety requirements.
• Proven commissioning management experience in renewable energy; managing direct reports preferred.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and contract exhibits.
• Knowledge of renewable energy systems and components, SCADA systems, installation practices, and quality standards.
• Versed in industry standards, codes, regulations related to utility scale PV, BESS, Wind, and Substation construction.
• Ability to switch between and track multiple projects and tasks based on project needs.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to identify potential commissioning issues and risks.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to process improvement.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, ability to effectively collaborate with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Implement an effective commissioning program for a Clearway Utility Scale Renewable Energy project.
• Plan and prepare commissioning trackers, assure testing processes and procedures, conduct safety oversight, and review test reports.
