Job summary

Wheeler & Taylor Insurance in Worcester, MA is seeking a Senior Commercial Account Manager to manage a portfolio of commercial accounts from renewal through ongoing service. You will develop strong client relationships and serve as the primary service contact, coordinating with carriers to negotiate coverage options and resolve complex issues.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of Commercial Lines Account Management experience in an independent agency or brokerage.
• Active Property & Casualty Insurance License (resident or able to obtain state licenses).
• Strong knowledge of commercial coverages across multiple industries.
• Excellent communication, organization and client relation skills.
• Experience with agency management systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to prioritize multiple accounts with attention to detail.
• Professional designations such as CIC, CISR, CRM, ARM or CPCU are valued.

Responsibilities

• Manage and service an assigned book of commercial insurance accounts from renewal through ongoing account management.
• Develop relationships with clients and serve as their primary service contact.
• Prepare renewals, submissions, proposals, policy changes, endorsements and certificates.
• Coordinate with carriers and underwriters to negotiate coverage options and resolve issues.
• Review policies for accuracy and identify gaps or opportunities to protect clients.
• Support producers during renewal and assist with new business opportunities.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities and collaborate with internal specialists.
• Maintain accurate client documentation in the agency system.
• Assist with claims, billing questions, and policy interpretation as needed.
• Stay current on commercial products, carrier updates and industry trends.
• Mentor and support junior service team members when appropriate.
