Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer for a 100% remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs program. The candidate will manage cloud-based infrastructure, automate tasks, and ensure 24/7 reliability.

Required are 8+ years in production environments, strong Linux/Windows skills, and experience with AWS/Azure, scripting, and CI/CD. A Public Trust (MBI) clearance is required for this US-based opportunity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or a related field, particularly in production environments.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure Cloud, Linux/Windows, scripting and automation.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-level operational support of complex application cloud systems.
• Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
• Detect, isolate, document, rapidly report, and resolve system outages or problems encountered during operations.
• Maintain documentation and communicate status to users and management.
• Ensure compliance with VA standards and security policies.
