Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering or related field, especially in production environments.
• 3+ years of experience with SQL querying and monitoring.
• U.S. Citizenship is required for this opportunity.
• Must possess or qualify for a Public Trust (MBI).

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level operational support for complex application cloud systems.
• Develop solutions to routine technical problems of limited scope.
• Follow standard practices to analyze data and situations.
• Detect, isolate, document, and report outages; recover systems as needed.
• Document problems in logging and discrepancy tools.
• Work directly with customers in day-to-day activities.
• Respond to user calls regarding hardware/software, escalate when required.
• Communicate status of problem resolution to users and management.
• Perform maintenance and installation of computing infrastructure.
• Apply continuous improvement to IT systems and procedures.
• Maintain inventory of system assets.
• Ensure VA security policies and standards are followed.
• Provide documentation, training, and additional duties as assigned.
