Job summary

Kforce is seeking a remote Senior Java Developer to join a team that builds high-availability backend services for order processing and inventory visibility. You will design, develop, and maintain cloud-native microservices, modernize legacy platforms, and deliver scalable solutions in a distributed systems environment.

The ideal candidate has 3-5+ years of Java experience, hands-on Spring Boot, automated testing (TDD/Unit), and experience with NoSQL and GCP.

Qualifications

3-5+ years of professional software development experience.
2+ years building Java-based microservices with Spring Boot.
Experience with automated testing (TDD/Unit) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Experience with NoSQL databases.
Strong communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices for order processing, inventory, and fulfillment.
Build cloud-native services from scratch and contribute to platform modernization.
Migrate legacy applications to modern cloud infrastructure.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including supply chain and operations.
Develop resilient, scalable, and high-performance services for high transaction volumes.
Participate in architecture discussions and technical design reviews.
Contribute to CI/CD processes and cloud deployment strategies.
Troubleshoot production issues to maintain performance and availability.
