Insight Global is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Java Engineer to support aCommerce Platform team responsible for order management and visibility across ~40 applications. You will build scalable microservices in a cloud-native environment and help migrate from PCF to GKE.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years backend software engineering experience.
• Strong Java development experience (Java 8+; Java 17).
• Proven microservices from the ground up.
• Experience with NoSQL databases (Cassandra preferred).
• Familiar with Elasticsearch or GraphQL.
• Cloud experience (GCP preferred).
• Understanding of CI/CD and modern DevOps.
• Strong troubleshooting and distributed systems skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance backend microservices from scratch using Java.
• Build reusable components and services for enterprise apps.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues.
• Contribute to ongoing enhancements and modernization.
• Integrate applications with Cassandra and distributed data systems.
• Support cloud migration from PCF to GKE.
• Assist with platform optimization and service consolidation.
• Participate in security remediation efforts.
• Collaborate with Staff Engineers on architecture challenges.
