OnTrac in the United States is hiring a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to lead automation of the cloud foundation across GCP and Azure. You will drive IaC adoption with Terraform and Ansible, working closely with development teams to move from manual changes to code-driven infrastructure.

The role emphasizes scalable, secure, and resilient architectures, mentorship, and governance of IaC standards, plus building robust CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud Infrastructure & Systems Engineering with Terraform IaC.
• Proficient with Terraform including scalable module libraries, state management, and environment separation.
• Hands-on with Google Cloud (GCP) provisioning Shared VPCs, IAM, Cloud SQL via IaC.
• Experience building IaC pipelines in Azure DevOps with automated plan/apply, drift detection and policy enforcement.
• Proficiency with Ansible for configuration management.
• Strong understanding of containerization/orchestration (GKE/Kubernetes vs. VMs).
• Strong Linux administration background and CLI foundation.

Responsibilities

• IaC Architecture & Standardization: modernize Terraform ecosystem with reusable modules.
• Automated CI/CD for Infrastructure: create Azure DevOps pipelines with testing and PR checks.
• GCP Cloud Architecture: design code-defined resilient foundations (networking, IAM, databases).
• Technical Mentorship & Governance: establish code review practices and module documentation.
• Compute & Container Strategy: evaluate containers vs VMs for workloads.
• Reliability & Resilience: define health, observability, and on-call practices.
