Job summary

Ensono is seeking a Senior CICS Mainframe Systems Programmer to provide premium support for CICS TS and related OEM products on z/OS. This remote US role includes on-call duties 24x7x365, migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery planning.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years on the zSeries platform, deep CICS TS knowledge, SMP/E expertise, and strong communication skills. A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 10+ years on the zSeries mainframe with CICS TS and OEM product support.
• Thorough knowledge of CICS TS and related OEM products.
• Thorough knowledge of IBM SMP/E.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience monitoring CICS TS performance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill CSOs for mainframe z/OS customers relating to CICS TS and OEM products.
• Provide primary support for reported CICS TS issues.
• Provide 24x7x365 on-call support across multiple time zones.
• Install OEM products following best practices and Ensono standards.
• Prepare partitions for annual OS upgrades via checklists.
• Support customer migrations for CICS TS products.
• Assist migration of new customers to address technical hurdles.
• Collaborate with Disaster Recovery Services on DR plans.
• Adhere to ITSM change control procedures.
• Implement vendor fixes and upgrades to z/OS products.
