Job summary

Solenis seeks a Senior Capital Projects Leader to drive multi-site initiatives across the North American plant network. You will provide oversight from concept through commissioning, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget alignment with business goals, while mentoring Project Managers and Engineers.

You will guide planning, budgeting, and Stage Gate execution, coordinate Engineering, Operations, EHS, Finance, Procurement and R&D teams, manage risk and cost variances, and report to senior

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business, Finance, or related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of capital project management experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Extensive budgeting, forecasting, project accounting, and policy knowledge.
• Strong cost management, forecasting, scheduling, and financial reporting skills.
• Solid understanding of construction and engineering principles.
• Commitment to safe work environments for projects.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Willingness to travel 50–80% across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium to large-scale capital projects from concept to closeout.
• Develop and maintain project scope, schedules, budgets, and resource plans.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across Engineering, Operations, EHS, Finance, Procurement, R&D.
• Monitor performance and address risks, issues, schedule delays, and cost variances.
• Champion projects through the Stage Gate process.
• Review business cases, scopes, costs, schedules, and risk assessments at milestones.
• Mentor Project Managers, Engineers, and team members.
• Support continuous improvement in capital planning, execution, and reporting.
• Facilitate communication between plant leadership, project teams, Finance, and senior management.
• Prepare and present portfolio-level updates to leadership.
