Job summary

N-iX is seeking a Senior Business Analyst (German-speaking) for a 6-month project. Remote work with on-site onboarding in Stuttgart, Germany (2-3 weeks) and occasional on-site 2-3 days per month.

You will lead discovery, design business solutions, document requirements, ensure QA, manage backlog and support implementation, while coordinating with international teams in German and English.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of experience as a business analyst, requirements engineer, product owner or similar at the interface between business and IT.
• Experience in motor claims management or insurance/claims processes.
• Sound knowledge of requirements analysis, requirements documentation and business process modelling (BPMN).
• Experience in developing business solution concepts and scope definitions.
• Experience in facilitating workshops and aligning with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with platform and integration projects, business interface specifications (e.g. XML/JSON).
• Experience with agile ways of working and backlog management (user stories, acceptance criteria).
• Confident use of Jira and Confluence.
• Proven track record of supporting implementation projects through to acceptance.
• Very good German and English skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, facilitate and follow up discovery workshops with customers and business units.
• Develop business solution concepts for digitalisation, automation and integration initiatives.
• Prepare scope definitions: in/out of scope, assumptions, dependencies, risks.
• Design target processes and assess solution options by benefit, effort and risk.
• Describe integration requirements for interfaces/APIs from a business perspective.
• Create process diagrams (e.g. BPMN 2.0) and write requirements items with acceptance criteria.
• Maintain documentation in Confluence and requirements items in Jira.
• Ensure quality, completeness, consistency and traceability of requirements.
• Derive acceptance criteria and test scenarios; support UAT from a business perspective.
• Maintain the initiative backlog and participate in planning sessions.
• Support and steer technical implementation from a business perspective; address deviations and risks.
• Organise and obtain acceptance of delivered solutions with involved parties.
• Align with customers, business units, management and international software development; communicate statuses in German and English.
