Job summary

NWN is seeking a Senior Director of Billing to lead the company’s billing function and ensure timely, accurate invoicing across all customers and models. The role requires rebuilding cadence, process controls, and KPI dashboards in collaboration with Finance IT and cross‑functional teams.

You will mentor a ~20‑person billing team, drive performance through data‑driven reviews, and partner with Sales, Credit, and IT to remediate upstream issues that impact revenue recognition and cash flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years in B2B billing or order-to-cash, including leadership of billing teams.
• Experience leading billing at scale with multi‑entity, high invoice volume.

Responsibilities

• Establish KPI framework for the billing team and implement dashboards with weekly reporting.
• Manage a billing team of ~20, driving targets and performance reviews.
• Create end‑to‑end billing cadence and SOPs for all billing models.
• Define billing calendar and control framework aligned to contract terms.
• Own backlog reduction and ensure timely and accurate invoicing across systems.
• Lead system improvements with Finance IT and cross‑functional partners.
