Job summary

Wilmington PharmaTech is hiring a Sr. Business Development Director to drive API development and manufacturing services. This remote, field-based role targets aggressive territorial growth across the Western U.S., reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer.

You will own the sales funnel, engage in strategic account planning, and lead high-stakes negotiations with customers and internal teams. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in B2B sales within contract API or CDMO contexts, a chemistry/Life

Qualifications

3+ years of proven B2B sales experience in contract API or CDMO industry.
Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, Life Sciences, or related field; MBA advantageous.
Demonstrated history of meeting new business targets and managing complex stakeholder relationships.

Responsibilities

Proactively hunt for new business opportunities aligning with WPT’s API development and manufacturing capabilities.
Develop and execute strategic territory plans to identify and qualify prospects.
Represent WPT at national events to generate high-quality leads and increase brand visibility.
Lead qualification through customer visits to evaluate opportunities and present services.
Own end-to-end sales funnel from initial contact to closure; report progress to leadership.
Collaborate with ELT on strategic account plans to grow high-value accounts.
Lead complex negotiations and structure winning proposals with cross-functional teams.
