Job summary

Talent Architect is seeking a Senior Software Engineering Consultant to lead backend modernization efforts and maintain critical applications. You will work remotely for US citizens in Eastern or Central time zones, guiding developers and collaborating with stakeholders on technical solutions.

The role emphasizes strong .NET (C#) and NodeJS skills, GraphQL API design, and database work with PostgreSQL or MS SQL Server.

Qualifications

10+ years of backend-focused software engineering experience.
Strong hands-on with .NET (C#) and NodeJS development.
Experience with PostgreSQL and/or MS SQL Server.
Experience designing/maintaining data models and schemas.
Proven senior/lead on modernization and maintenance projects.
Experience with Agile, DevOps, Docker, CI/CD implementations.
Ability to work independently and mentor teammates.
Strong communication with non-technical stakeholders.
Consulting experience and desire.

Responsibilities

Participate in analysis, design, development, and modernization of backend applications.
Lead and contribute to redesign and maintenance of legacy systems, ensuring stability while modernizing.
Design and maintain data models and schemas for data integrity and scalability.
Provide guidance, code reviews, and technical leadership to junior developers.
Engage with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, build automation, testing, and deployment workflows.
Troubleshoot containerized environments using Docker and modern DevOps practices.
Implement unit testing, participate in load testing, and optimize performance.
Promote best practices across the software development lifecycle.
