Job summary

Syms Strategic Group, LLC is seeking an Automated Test Engineer (ATE) for a fully remote role supporting the Veterans Affairs department. This is a 100% U.S.-based remote position with a full-time schedule and a Public Trust (MBI) clearance requirement.

Candidates should have 10+ years in software testing, strong programming in C#, Java, or Python, and experience across manual and automated testing, SDLC, and test automation tools. U.S.

Qualifications

• Strong programming skills in C#, Java, or Python.
• Proven track record on complex software projects with high-quality deliverables.
• Experience in both manual and automated testing.
• Familiarity with SDLC, Agile/Scrum, and test automation frameworks/tools.
• Experience with CI/CD and version control systems.
• Knowledge of API and web testing, performance testing, and security testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to meet requirements.
• Collaborate with Test Managers and Leads to review test assets and approaches.
• Write test cases and scripts and identify data for test scenarios.
• Perform verification activities and defect tracking using defined processes.
• Create daily test metrics and reporting for management.
• Mentor junior testers and translate business requirements into test scenarios.
