Job summary

Syms Strategic Group is seeking an Automated Test Engineer (ATE) for a 100% remote, full-time position supporting Veterans Affairs (VA) initiatives. The role emphasizes strong manual and automated testing, test plan development, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

A Public Trust (MBI) clearance is required. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in software testing/QA, proficiency with test automation tools, and experience in CI/CD, APIs, and security testing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field with 10+ years of experience.
• Minimum 10+ years of total work experience in software testing and quality assurance.
• Experience with government or VA-related projects a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; excellent communication and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test procedures to meet requirements.
• Write test cases and scripts; identify data for test scenarios.
• Conduct walkthroughs with Test Managers and Leads; lead tests of IT systems.
• Document and communicate test results; support analysis and resolution of issues.
• Create daily test metrics and reporting; ensure QA best practices.
