Job summary

Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Treasury Department, Bureau of Fiscal Review, seeks a Senior Audit Manager to oversee the audit team, plan procedures, and conduct audits in accordance with GAAS and GAAP.

You will lead staff, perform quality reviews, develop annual audit plans, review expenditure documents, and prepare reports with recommendations. Telework is available full-time; standard hours are 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday to Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.

Qualifications

• CPA license and five years conducting financial reviews for compliance with federal and state laws, rules and regulations; two years in a supervisory role.
• A Master's degree in Accounting or a related field may substitute for one year of general work experience.

Responsibilities

• Direct a staff of audit personnel and support their growth through training and coaching.
• Oversee quality control checks and address findings with staff.
• Develop the annual audit plan and update manuals to reflect changes.
• Examine expenditure documents and resolve errors before final processing.
• Review complex invoices and contracts and recommend improvements to policies and controls.
• Prepare written reports that explain issues and propose solutions.
