Commonwealth of Pennsylvania is seeking an Audit Specialist 3 - Internal Auditor to lead engagements and assess risks, ensuring compliance with auditing standards and sound financial practices across the Commonwealth.

You will oversee audits, coordinate interviews, develop workpapers, and prepare final reports that support improvements while aligning with the Bureau's strategic goals. Telework may be available with occasional in-office days.

Qualifications

• One year as Audit Specialist 2 or three years of professional auditing with bachelor’s degree plus 18 credits in accounting/auditing.
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training including 18 credits in accounting and auditing.
• Must meet PA residency requirements and be able to perform essential job functions.

Responsabilités

• Plan and direct audit engagements; conduct testing and prepare findings.
• Develop risk assessments to guide objectives and procedures.
• Examine agreements, policies, legislation, and records to understand requirements.
• Conduct interviews and lead entrance/exit conferences with auditees.
• Develop workpapers, write final reports, and present recommendations.
• Follow office policies and contribute to Bureau strategic goals.
