Whatnot is seeking a senior Art Director, 2D Illustration, to lead and elevate the Brand Experience across digital experiences, product launches, events, social, and merch. You will shape visual identity, guide junior designers, and drive high-impact creative with a strong point of view.

You will work closely with designers, engineers, copywriters, and marketing teammates, taking briefs to production in fast-paced environments while maintaining craft, trend awareness, and a resilient design

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience across brand, campaign, or creative studio work.
• Portfolio showing strong visual thinking and hands-on execution.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts into compelling visual metaphors.

Responsibilities

• Develop visual strategies, art direction, and creative across surfaces including digital, campaigns, events, and merchandise.
• Collaborate across designers, engineers, copywriters, marketers, and leads from brief to delivery.
• Move fast from brief to execution while maintaining high craft and scope discipline.
• Provide actionable feedback to team and maintain a collaborative environment.
• Stay ahead of design trends to keep Whatnot's brand at the creative vanguard.
