Job summary

MCI USA is seeking a Senior Accounts Receivable Specialist to support accurate customer billing, timely cash application, and reliable financial reporting. You will partner with Finance, SBO, and business-unit teams to resolve billing issues, maintain controls, and contribute to a smooth month-end close.

This role is ideal for a detail-oriented accounting professional who enjoys problem solving and process improvement within a high-performing Finance team. Remote work is supported.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of related accounting experience in AR, billing, collections, reconciliations, and month-end close support.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required; CPA or MBA preferred.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, internal controls, and receivables management practices.
• Ability to communicate clearly, work cross-functionally, and manage multiple priorities across a dispersed environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage AR activities: invoicing, cash application, aging review, collections follow-up.
• Monitor aging trends and drive resolution of past-due balances and disputed items.
• Prepare reconciliations, roll-forwards, and schedules to support month-end close and audits.
• Lead or support monthly AR reviews with leadership and SBO and present aging trends.
• Maintain documentation for internal controls and policy adherence.
• Collaborate with leaders to improve billing workflows and resolve inquiries.
• Identify process improvements to strengthen AR operations and reporting.
• Provide knowledge sharing and support to Finance colleagues on ad hoc reports.
