Job summary

Virtua Health is hiring an IT applications specialist to enhance, support, and maintain applications across the health system. You will document business needs, recommend solutions, and work with Informatics on designs using best practices for build, configuration, and data integrity.

Role requires expertise in workflow, application software, cybersecurity, and HIPAA compliance; you will lead testing, vendor releases, and system upgrades in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Healthcare IT or related field.
• Excellent facilitation and communication skills.
• Must be knowledgeable about the business of health care and information flows.
• BA/BS in Information Systems or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience leading projects and upgrades preferred.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and analyze workflow requirements to design, configure, test and implement IT application solutions.
• Provide day-to-day support of multiple IT applications including error management and troubleshooting.
• Maintain documentation of business processes and regulatory requirements.
• Facilitate customer engagement through regular meetings and IT initiatives.
• Develop detailed design specs and build components based on customer needs.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to resolve issues and ensure timely resolutions.
• Lead system build, testing events and provide guidance on upgrades.
