IonQ, Inc. is seeking a senior technical leader to build the AI foundation our security organization runs on, and to drive adoption across detection, response, threat intel, and governance. This hands-on role writes code, designs systems, and sets direction without direct people management.

You will report to security leadership and collaborate with Platform Engineering, IT, Legal, Privacy, and the broader AI/ML org. Hybrid/remote options available for the right candidate.

Formación

• 8+ years in security engineering, platform engineering, or closely related technical field with hands-on software development.
• Demonstrated experience building/operating production systems with large language models.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals; fluent in Python; cloud infrastructure experience (AWS, GCP or Azure).
• Deep understanding of security engineering: IAM, secrets management, logging, secure SDLC.
