Job summary

Qualifications

• 8+ years of production engineering, site reliability engineering, platform engineering, or cloud operations experience.
• Recent hands-on reliability work in large-scale production systems on AWS or GCP.
• Deep understanding of distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, networking, CI/CD, and production failure modes.
• Observability architecture including metrics, logs, traces, SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Experience establishing reliability and operational-readiness standards for business-critical services.

Responsibilities

• Shape the technical strategy and multi-year roadmap for operational excellence and production readiness.
• Define and govern the New Service Introduction framework with architecture, security, resilience, and release-readiness reviews.
• Establish service ownership standards including runbooks, escalation paths, and on-call readiness.
• Lead the architecture and evolution of the shared observability platform with logs, metrics, and traces.
• Define dashboards, alert policies, telemetry quality, retention, and cost controls.
• Own the reliability governance model with SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets.
• Connect service-health signals to customer impact for early anomaly detection and rapid isolation.
• Lead incident-management maturity and post-incident reviews for systemic fixes.
• Manage capacity, including cloud/Kubernetes capacity, performance testing, and headroom policies.
• Design AI Ops capabilities for event correlation, predictive detection, and autonomous triage.
