Limbic is seeking a Senior AI/ML Engineer to own the AI in clinical assessment for US healthcare partners. You will shape conversations, ensure safety, and drive ML models productive in real-world settings across channels, with collaboration between North American, European, and clinical teams.

The role emphasizes production-grade ML, scalable architecture, and regulatory compliance to advance mental healthcare solutions while maintaining high safety standards.

Qualifications

• PhD in computational science or AI field with 2+ years ML engineering experience OR BSc/MSc with 4+ years ML engineering experience.
• Expertise in productizing LLM features and eval-driven development.
• Proficient in Python and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Experience building an LLM agent harness and with reinforcement learning.
• Strong architectural skills for scalable ML systems.
• Solid understanding of statistics in LLM evaluation and user analytics.
• Git and database experience (SQL/NoSQL).
• Hands-on with cloud platforms and containerization.

Responsibilities

• Own the quality of the conversational AI from dialogue steps to clinical predictions and recommendations.
• Improve safety checks for patient messages and AI replies without over-blocking useful replies.
• Productionize ML models to optimize product KPIs and clinical predictions.
• Build evaluation harnesses, simulated conversations, and transcript reviews for testing.
• Extend assessment AI to new channels including phone-based access.
• Integrate clinical AI as composable services for healthcare partners.
• Develop automation tooling and demos for product development.
• Mentor peers and raise engineering standards while ensuring regulatory compliance.
