Premera Blue Cross is seeking an AI Engineer IV to lead the development of AI/ML solutions from concept through production. You will guide solutioning, mentor junior engineers, and ensure robust AI infrastructure, all while staying current with AI research and industry best practices.

The role emphasizes leading teams, deploying models at scale, and collaborating with stakeholders to realize business value while maintaining governance and data quality.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, statistics, mathematics, or related field or 2+ years of related IT/analytics experience.
• Minimum 5 years of industry experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining AI or ML systems; up to 2 years substitution with AI-centered Master's/PhD or AI certifications.
• 6+ years of experience with deep learning models (e.g., CNNs, transformers, GANs, LSTMs, etc.).
• Experience deploying ML algorithms, scalable data pipelines, and robust monitoring systems.
• Experience with retrieval augmented generation, Tree of Thoughts, or multimodal CoT in prompt engineering.

Responsabilités

• Recommend and develop AI systems and frameworks for AI applications and products.
• Lead prototypes and MVPs to validate AI/ML solutions before large resources are committed.
• Design and implement cloud architecture for large AI systems.
• Build robust data pipelines to support AI workloads.
• Develop low-latency APIs and services to deploy AI models.
• Monitor AI systems and maintain performance and reliability.
