Job summary

Escape Velocity Entertainment is seeking a Senior AI Designer to join a fully remote team, building ground-breaking worlds and player experiences. You will shape enemy AI, scripting, and NPC behaviours for a high-mobility action game, collaborating with designers and engineers across the stack.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in game design or AI development, strong Unreal Engine expertise, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional game design or AI game development experience.
• Senior-level proficiency in blueprint scripting and AI behaviour trees.
• Technical expertise in Unreal and/or AAA game engines.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Background or education in game design or programming.

Responsibilities

• Create exciting new enemies for a high-mobility action game.
• Create design specs and technical documents.
• Collaborate on NPC creation, scripting, and AI behaviour trees.
• Plan future work with producers and identify dependencies.
• Analyze user data, feedback, and heatmaps to understand AI performance.
• Pitch detailed new AI designs to leads and directors.
