Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Temporary Senior Accounts Payable Specialist based in the United States.

This level role will own day-to-day AP activities including invoice processing, payment preparation, vendor coordination, and reporting, with a focus on accuracy and timely close. The assignment lasts three months with potential extension depending on needs.

Qualifications

• 5–7+ years of progressive accounts payable experience with independent responsibility for AP workflows.
• Strong understanding of GL coding, accruals, reconciliations, internal controls, and impact on financials.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to resolve unfamiliar issues independently.
• Advanced Excel proficiency including pivot tables, lookups, and large datasets.
• Hands-on experience with ERP and expense management systems; Concur desirable; Carta AP advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage daily AP operations including invoice intake, coding, approvals, and payments.
• Monitor workload, deadlines, bottlenecks, and address issues to avoid delays.
• Process invoices and Concur expense reports with proper coding, documentation and approvals.
• Investigate discrepancies, duplicate payments, vendor disputes, and missing information; identify root causes.
• Review AP aging, support reconciliations, accruals, and month-end close activities.
• Prepare domestic and international wire and ACH payments per approvals and security rules.
• Coordinate vendor onboarding and maintain vendor master records, including W-9/W-8.
• Support 1099 reporting and vendor compliance.
• Act as a point of contact for employees, vendors, and Finance; escalate risks as needed.
• Use ERP reporting tools and Excel to identify errors and propose improvements.
