Job summary

Eliassen Group is seeking a Senior Associate to Manager, Accounting, Reporting & Technology to work remotely with clients across industries. You will partner with management on complex accounting and reporting challenges at the intersection of accounting, data, and technology.

The role combines traditional accounting advisory with finance transformation, requiring strong U.S. GAAP knowledge, transaction experience, and a passion for automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA license is preferred or progress toward certification.
• 3–5 years of experience in professional services or corporate accounting.
• Solid working knowledge of U.S. GAAP and SEC reporting requirements.
• Experience with acquisition accounting, divestitures, and readiness for transactions.
• Advanced Excel and data skills; automation or analytics tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research, analyze, and resolve complex technical accounting and financial reporting matters.
• Partner with clients to understand processes, systems, and data flows to assess impacts.
• Analyze, reconcile, and validate large data sets using Excel and analytics tools.
• Draft technical accounting memoranda documenting issues and conclusions.
• Provide pre- and post-transaction accounting support for acquisitions and IPOs.
• Support preparation of financial statements and regulatory filings (10-K, 10-Q, 8-K, S-1).
• Assist audit readiness by improving documentation and collaboration between teams.
• Identify opportunities for automation and standardization across accounting processes.
• Manage project tasks and timelines in a dynamic consulting environment.
