Job summary

Antelope is seeking a hands-on Accounting Senior Manager to lead the GL and AP teams, close books on a monthly cadence, and deliver accurate financial statements across entities. You will partner with the Controller on audits, tax requests, and internal controls while driving system improvements in NetSuite.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA highly desirable; public accounting or audit experience a plus.
• Minimum of 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years leading GL and AP teams.
• Proven experience closing monthly books within 10 days for an inventory-heavy, omnichannel CPG business.
• Experience delivering in a $100-200M organization.
• Strong GAAP knowledge; experience researching, applying, and documenting accounting guidance for audit.
• Experience supporting a full year-end financial statement audit.
• Acquisition accounting or cash-to-GAAP conversion experience is a big plus.
• Track record of implementing internal controls and improving transaction processing to scale with a growing company.
• Knowledge and experience with NetSuite and system implementations highly desirable.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to build clean, well-formatted analyses.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ownership over the numbers.
• Passion for pets and consumer brands.

Responsibilities

• Lead month-end close and deliver financial statements for multiple entities within 10 days of month-end.
• Review journal entries and reconciliations, ensuring timely completion.
• Review monthly P&L for proper coding across vendors, departments, and brands.
• Prepare monthly financial commentary for MD&A.
• Build and maintain scalable close processes and accounting infrastructure.
• Supervise AP team to ensure accurate processing and timely closes.
• Manage vendor payments and liquidity, maintaining DPO 30+ days.
• Enforce internal controls over cash management and vendor setup.
• Oversee payroll and expense reimbursements reconciliations.
• Maintain NetSuite as the single source of truth for reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements, including AI tools for automation.
• Lead audit readiness and liaison with auditors; support tax requests.
• Collaborate with Ops and 3PLs to resolve accounting issues.
