Responsibilities

  • Lead the month-end close process and deliver financial statements for each reporting entity within 10 days of month-end.

  • Manage employee expense reimbursements and company credit card reporting, ensuring full compliance with company T&E policies.
  • Facilitate accurate preparation and filing of annual 1099 reporting.
  • Approve daily positive pay, code unreconciled bank transactions in NetSuite, and monitor and resolve unusual cash activity.
  • Lead the monthly inventory close, including review and approval of freight accruals, 3PL logistics accruals, and accrued purchases reconciliations.
  • Prepare monthly My Perfect Pet inventory journal entries, including reversal of prior period balances, COGS based on fulfillments, and end-of-month inventory values.
  • Maintain standard costs for My Perfect Pet labor, overhead, raw materials, and packaging on a quarterly basis.
  • Reconcile NetSuite inventory to co-manufacturer and 3PL reports quarterly for all locations.
  • Complete the quarterly inventory reserve and excess and obsolete (E&O) review.
  • Partner with Ops and 3PLs to resolve operational accounting issues, and monitor inventory exceptions and manual adjustments.
  • Sync payroll from Rippling to NetSuite each pay run and reconcile monthly.
  • Prepare and reconcile monthly payroll accruals.
  • Help maintain NetSuite as the reliable, real-time, single source of truth for Antelope financial reporting.
  • Serve as primary administrator for AP vendor processing, employee expense reporting, and company credit card systems, ensuring these tools are fully utilized.
  • Identify repetitive, manual tasks and recommend process improvements, implementing AI tools where appropriate to automate close processes, journal entries, reconciliations, and transaction reviews.
  • Support system implementations and the integration of future acquisitions with minimal errors and rework.
  • Lead, train, and develop a team of GL and AP accountants to minimize errors in transaction processing.
  • Drive accountability and execution of team deliverables to meet all company deadlines and ensure audit-ready financials and documentation.
  • Hold weekly 1:1s to provide real-time feedback, enhance transparency, and build trust with team members.
