Job summary

BenchPrep, a cloud-based learning platform, is seeking a Staff/Senior Accountant to join our remote finance team. You’ll maintain financial records, prepare reports, analyze data, ensure GAAP compliance, and support budgeting, forecasting, and audits.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years (Staff) or 5–8 years (Sr) in accounting, CPA preferred, and experience with NetSuite/Intacct/QuickBooks. Salary ranges from $65,000 to $85,000 with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting; CPA preferred.
• 3–5 years (Staff Accountant) or 5–8 years (Sr) in accounting or auditing.
• Experience with GAAP and revenue recognition.
• Strong communication and analytical skills.
• Proficiency in Excel; ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and lead journal entries.
• Prepare reports and conduct variance analyses for management.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, audits, and process improvements.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and proper revenue recognition.
