Job summary

Olly is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Senior Accountant to support the accounting team, focusing on DTC and Amazon revenue accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close. This remote role requires strong US GAAP knowledge and advanced Excel skills for large datasets.

The candidate will manage Shopify and Amazon revenue processes, assist with payroll reporting setup, and collaborate across teams to resolve issues and improve accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 4+ years of accounting experience, including month-end close and reconciliations.
• Strong US GAAP and revenue recognition knowledge.
• Advanced Excel and experience working with large transactional datasets.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
• Experience with Shopify, Amazon Vendor Central, or e‑commerce accounting preferred.
• Experience with Paylocity payroll reporting or multi-state payroll tax registration a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage Shopify DTC revenue, including sales, refunds, chargebacks, gift cards and deferred revenue per US GAAP.
• Reconcile Shopify to processors, banks, and ERP for accurate cash and balances.
• Support Amazon Vendor Central revenue recognition and reconcile data with Green Rabbit records.
• Prepare weekly consolidated sales invoices and investigate discrepancies.
• Prepare monthly COGS accruals and analyze variances against actual costs.
• Assist month-end close with journal entries and reconciliations.
• Assist Paylocity payroll reporting setup and multi-state payroll tax registrations.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues and improve accuracy.
