Job summary

Arbol is seeking a Senior Accountant to join our finance team, reporting to the Director of Finance. You will own parts of the monthly close, serve as a primary contact for the annual audit, and help build scalable processes and controls across a growing multi-entity organization with international subsidiaries.

Ideal candidates are detail oriented, curious, and able to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with legal, tech, and sales teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• 4–8 years of accounting experience, ideally mix of public and private industry.
• Strong US GAAP knowledge and month-end close expertise.
• Experience preparing financial statements and reporting.
• Advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Self-starter with ability to work remotely in a distributed team.
• Clear written and verbal communication with auditors and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Own key components of the monthly close process (cash reconciliations, prepaids, accruals, journal entries, reconciliations).
• Perform day-to-day revenue operations: review contracts, apply accounting guidance, track premiums/claims, maintain contract records.
• Manage accounts receivable: invoicing, collections, cash application, aging review, AR workflow improvements.
• Account for multi-entity activity: intercompany, consolidation support, international subsidiaries.
• Manage Deel platform for international employees/contractors: payments, funding, reconciliation.
• Prepare GAAP financial statements and management reporting; variance analysis; ad hoc requests.
