Job summary

Point is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee day-to-day accounting, month-end close, and GAAP-compliant financial reporting. The role guards ledger integrity, reconciles balance sheet accounts, and supports audits and scalable workflows.

You will manage accounts payable/receivable, consolidate revenue schedules, cash operations, and multi-entity reporting while driving process improvements. This is a remote US role with potential onsite in Palo Alto for some roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience with strong general ledger ownership.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
• Experience with month-end close, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Advanced Excel skills and large dataset reconciliation.
• Experience with NetSuite and FloQast.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience supporting year-end audits.
• Experience in high-growth or small-team environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform core month-end close including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Manage accounts receivable and monitor aging.
• Refine complex revenue schedules with the manager.
• Oversee daily cash operations and inter-account transfers.
• Monitor investor cash positions.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations.
• Suggest improvements to workflows or software.
• Prepare monthly financial statements and multi-entity reporting.
• Ensure ASC 842 and ASC 606 compliance.
• Analyze investor contracts for custodial accounting.
