Job summary

Lonza is seeking a Senior Account Manager – Advanced Synthesis to manage and grow a portfolio of key customer relationships within Lonza’s Advanced Synthesis business. You will serve as the primary commercial partner for pharmaceutical and biotech clients, leading account plans and cross-functional collaboration.

The role is fully remote with up to 40% travel, offering a base salary of $145,800 to $170,100 plus a comprehensive benefits package including bonus, health, 401(k), life and disability

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in pharma/biotech/CDMO or related commercial/ account management roles.
• Experience supporting pharmaceutical and biotech customers and complex commercial opportunities.
• Strong communication, negotiation and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of strategic customer accounts to drive revenue growth and long-term relationships.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customer stakeholders as the primary commercial contact.
• Identify opportunities to expand business by aligning customer needs with Lonza’s Advanced Synthesis capabilities.
• Lead commercial discussions on proposals, pricing, contracts, and opportunities with internal teams.
• Develop, maintain and execute account plans aligned with customer objectives and growth strategies.
• Collaborate with Project Management, Operations, Technical teams and Business Development to support project execution and communications.
• Represent the voice of the customer, manage escalations, and ensure commitments are fulfilled.
• Maintain account plans, opportunities, forecasts, and customer data in Salesforce and related systems.
