Job summary

Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Associate - Commercial Lines to support the account team with administrative and customer service tasks. The role reports to an Account Manager/Producer and focuses on renewals, submissions, and client service for commercial accounts.

The position offers remote/hybrid work with potential on-site needs occasionally, and emphasizes accuracy, timely work, and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service experience in the insurance industry.
• Thorough knowledge of insurance brokerage and client needs.
• Active licensing, professional designation (CISR) preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• High School Diploma (or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Direct day-to-day activities and workflow of Team Support/Receptionist, Account Assistant, and Account Associate.
• Track policy expirations for existing clients, ensuring renewals are processed accurately and on time.
• Handle policy endorsements, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, and related documents.
• Support new and renewal business: research clients, gather underwriting info, proposals, bind coverage.
• Review contracts for proper coverages.
• Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Monitor activity/suspense to ensure timely completion.
• Communicate workload status with the account team.
• Deliver excellent service and anticipate needs.
• Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Seek continuous improvement and uphold IOA values.
