Job summary

AssetWatch, a remote-first industrial condition monitoring company, seeks a hands-on Security Engineer to own day-to-day security operations, respond to customer security questionnaires, and drive SOC 2 Type 2 progress.

You’ll manage endpoint protection, identity security with Entra ID, vulnerability management, and vendor risk while coordinating with Legal, Sales, and Customer Success. A strong communicator and independent worker in a distributed US/Canada team is essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in security engineering, security analyst, GRC, or IT security.
• Experience responding to customer security questionnaires and calls.
• Hands-on SOC 2 experience; familiarity with Vanta or similar GRC tools.

Responsibilities

• Join customer calls as security SME and respond to questionnaires with trusted posture and evidence.
• Maintain evidence, assist SOC 2 Type 2 audit readiness and documentation.
• Manage endpoint security, identity protection, vulnerability management and vendor risk.
