Job summary

AssetWatch, a remote-first industrial condition monitoring company, seeks a Security Engineer to own day-to-day security operations, drive SOC 2 Type 2 readiness, and support customer security conversations. You will manage questionnaires, vendor risk, and security tooling across endpoints, identity, and risk management.

The role emphasizes remote collaboration, strong written/verbal skills, and the ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in security engineering, security analyst, GRC, or IT security.
• Experience responding to customer security questionnaires and calls.
• Hands-on SOC 2 familiarity; Vanta or similar tools preferred.
• Experience with EDR tooling such as CrowdStrike.
• Knowledge of IAM concepts (SSO, MFA) in Entra ID/Microsoft environments.
• Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Act as security SME on calls with customers and prospects.
• Own responses to questionnaires (SIG, CAIQ) and RFP sections.
• Maintain pre-approved answers, evidence, and reference diagrams.
• Support security-related contract reviews with Legal, Sales, and Customer Success.
• Lead SOC 2 Type 2 audit readiness and evidence collection.
• Administer and tune CrowdStrike EDR; manage identity security (Entra ID).
• Document processes and runbooks; track work in Jira.
